Lakewood Residential Rent Assistance Program
If you are a Lakewood resident who is having trouble paying rent as a result of COVID-19, you may qualify for rental assistance if you meet the program’s eligibility guidelines. To assist in the administration of this program, the City of Lakewood has formed partnerships with Lakewood Community Services Center (LCSC) and CHN Housing Partners.
The primary considerations in determining your eligibility are based on the number of persons in your household (number of people living together regardless of relationship) and the combined current annual income of those same people that are living together. Depending on your answers to these two items, applications for rental assistance can be submitted to either LCSC or CHN Housing Partners. If you are not sure, please contact CHN Housing Partners for assistance. Website links and phone numbers are provided in the table below.

This program is made possible utilizing approximately $1.5 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) funding received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prevent housing instability and displacement among low-moderate income Lakewood tenants unable to pay their rent due to pandemic-related economic hardships.
