The Records Division is located at the Main Police Station, 12650 Detroit Ave.  The hours for the Records Division are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday.  The Records Division is also closed on legal holidays.

Public records may be viewed without charge at the front counter of the police station during normal business hours.

To obtain a copy of a public record, a written request must be completed and the proper fee must be received.
The fees are as follows:
  Motor Vehicle Accident Report   per page(1 side) $0.05
      front and back $0.10
  Complaint, Criminal and Misc.   per page (1 side)$0.05
      front and back $0.10
  8x10 Photo Print (photos will not be mailed)   $1.00 digital print on glossy paper
      $10.00 for each film print
      $0.05 digital print on regular paper
      $0.50 floppy disk
      $0.65 CD
  Audio Tape   $0.93
  Video Tape   $2.35
  Local Arrest Record Check (adults only)   $5.00
If you wish the record mailed to you, a self addressed, stamped envelope must be included with your request, otherwise the records may be picked up at the main police station.
Make checks payable to City of Lakewood.
The following information is not public record, and will be deleted from any copies of reports:
1. Names, addresses, phone numbers of persons under investigation but not formally charged.
2. All social security numbers.
3. Arrest information of charged juveniles.
4. Any ongoing investigations.
5. Reports involving injury to persons or property involving City of Lakewood Personnel/or property.
6. Criminal statements.
7. ANY confidential law enforcement investigatory record.
8. Medical records or information.
