City of Lakewood Launches Police-2-Citizen PortalMay 07, 2019
The City of Lakewood is pleased to announce the launch of the online Police-2-Citizen Portal. The Lakewood Police Department is committed to providing quality service around-the-clock. Citizens can now use the online services portal to search for public safety incidents and arrests, obtain copies of crash reports, and access other useful information. These new 24/7 features are intended to provide citizens with convenient access to public information.
“This important new tool will increase our already robust citizen and police relationship,” said Mayor Summers. “We know that we are safer when our citizens are engaged and participating in our safety. This new tool advances our safety.”
Through features like “Submit a Tip” and “Report Incident,” the Police-2-Citizen portal offers tools that make it easier for citizens to share information with the Lakewood Police Department. Individuals wishing to file a police report for non-emergency incidents will no longer need to visit the police department in person for issues such as identity theft or lost/stolen items.
Some other important features of the Police-2-Citizen portal include the ability for residents to retrieve crash reports, request vacation watch, or contact their neighborhood police officer. Information such as arrests, closed calls, and missing person reports will also be available through the portal.
“This portal underscores the Lakewood Police Department’s commitment to enhancing their service to residents and visitors,” said Chief Malley. “We ask that citizens begin to utilize the portal and share their experiences with us so that we may continue to improve it.”
To access the portal, citizens should visit https://p2c.lakewoodoh.net/. Information may be submitted anonymously through the “Submit a Tip” function. Citizens may still call the non-emergency line to share information with the police department or inquire about an incident at (216) 521-6773.
