Working Groups

Mayor FitzGerald has decided to engage the talent of our community by forming "working groups" of citizens on each major issue facing our city.  These committees will meet on a continuing basis to research policy options, interact with department heads, advise the mayor, and continually evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies.

TECHNOLOGY WORKING GROUP VOLUNTEER NEEDED

The TWG is looking for an individual experienced in web design and implementation to join our volunteer team and help the city implement the proposed technology strategy.  Specific experience/skills being sought include capturing customer (internal and external) requirements, developing a website "storyboard" and layout schema, evaluating outsourced providers and writing RFP's for hosting and implementation, and having a clear understanding of dynamic website technologies.  This person would help the Community Relations and other departments identify needs to transform the city's current website to an external focused one and also help the IT department with project and technical oversight.

Working groups are being formed regarding the following issue areas:

 •  Public Safety
 •  Arts and Culture
 •  Technology
 •  Housing
 •  Economic Development
 •  Recreation
If you are interested in participating on a working group, please send an email to mayor@lakewoodoh.net. Please provide detailed contact information and the group you would like to work with.

Applicants are selected on an annual basis and as spaces become available. Once you are appointed, you will be contacted by someone in the Mayor's office.

If you feel that we need additional working groups on other issues, please let us know.
