Public Hearing Notice
FY20-FY24 Consolidated Plan Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that Lakewood’s Citizens Advisory Committee will hold a Public Hearing on Monday March 30, 2020 at 6:30pm for the purpose of considering and soliciting citizen feedback regarding the City’s proposed FY20-FY24 Five-Year Consolidated Plan (Con Plan) and FY20 Annual Action Plan prior to submitting a final versions of these documents to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Every five years, Lakewood prepares a Consolidated Plan as a condition of receiving federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funding from HUD. The Con Plan is carried out via (5) Annual Action Plans which serve as the City’s federal funding applications to HUD.
Based on a thorough analysis of market conditions and available resources, the Consolidated and Action plans identify and prioritize community and economic development needs; describe place-based strategies to address high-priority housing, human services, infrastructure, neighborhood revitalization, and homelessness needs; and establish accomplishment goals in these areas.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on social gatherings, members of the public will not have in-person access to this hearing. Therefore, the hearing will be live streamed at http://www.onelakewood.com/videos-2/ and a video recording of the proceedings will be posted to the City’s website. To provide feedback during the Public Comment Period at the conclusion of the hearing please call 216.529.760 or email Daniel.Wyman@LakewoodOH.net.
