There will be a Public Safety Committee meeting Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 8:00 AM in the Council Conference Room at Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue. The topic for discussion is as follows:
- Communication from Councilmember Butler regarding Revisiting “chronic nuisance” ordinances previously terminated from Committee.
- ORDINANCE NO. 23-08 – Amending Section 509.14 of the Codified Ordinances to include the issuance of noise abatement orders and notices of violation among the events that must occur in order to classify a noise violation as a nuisance activity for the purposes of the Criminal Activity Nuisance Ordinance. (PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE 2/19/08, SECOND READING 3/3/08)
- ORDINANCE NO. 24-08 – Amending Section 515.13 of the Codified Ordinances to clarify the definition of an order requiring the immediate abatement of any source of sound alleged to be in violation of Chapter 515 of the Codified Ordinances. (PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE 2/19/08, SECOND READING 3/3/08)

Audit Committee Meeting

The City of Lakewood Audit Committee Meeting will take place Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 6:00 P.M. to approximately 7:30 PM in the Auditorium of Lakewood City Hall, (2nd Floor) - 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio.
The Audit Committee was established by Ordinance 93-07, adopted December 3, 2007. “…. to provide independent review and oversight of the City's financial reporting processes, internal controls, and the independent auditor comments. The Committee shall review financial statements, independent auditor reports and follow up on corrective actions; review the City of Lakewood's comprehensive framework of internal controls; assess the performance of the independent auditor; provide an independent forum to report findings of management fraud, abuse or control override to the independent auditor…”.
PUBLIC NOTICE: The Audit Committee Membership is comprised of six Lakewood residents with financial background appointed by Council and the Mayor. Council’s Finance Committee; Chairman Michael Summers, Members Kevin Butler, and Mary Louise Madigan also serve on the Audit Committee and public notice is hereby provided in compliance with Ohio’s Open Meetings Law.

Please note that the date, time and room assignments are subject to change due to the nature of the proceedings.
