City of Lakewood Seeking Resident Input on One Lakewood Place Community Gathering SpaceJanuary 30, 2019
The City of Lakewood is hosting a community workshop on Wednesday, January 30th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Main Branch of the Lakewood Public Library to gain more resident input about the community gathering space at One Lakewood Place. This space, proposed to be at the corner of Detroit and Belle, is a cornerstone of the entire project and community input will help to further shape the vision for the space.
Over the past five months, the One Lakewood Place project has made great strides at Planning Commission and the Architectural Board of Review meetings. This community meeting will provide further guidance, support, and structure to the boards and commissions discussions about the community gathering space.
The workshop will include a presentation by the City of Lakewood’s Division of Planning and Development providing information about the project, followed by an open house format discussion to encourage one-on-one and small group conversations about the design and programming of the space. The goal of the workshop is to capture the community’s ideas and inspirations for the community gathering space.
