Active living and moving naturally play an important role in creating what is called a healthy Life Radius™ – the environment where people spend most of their lives. As part of the Live Well Lakewood health initiative, the city of Lakewood
and the Lakewood Recreation Department are co-sponsoring “Active Living Programming in the Parks” this summer. All programming will be provided by certified active living providers, with such programming as yoga, tai chi, sitting & walking meditation and dance cardio.
Everyone is invited to participate. If the activity is yoga, for your comfort, you are encouraged to bring a towel or mat to lay on during the class. All programming is free to all participants. As a reminder our city parks are popular places, especially in the nice weather, so plan on walking or riding your bike to these events to avoid parking issues.
Questions concerning any of these events may be directed to the Mayor’s Office at 216-529-6600.

Please Note: Anyone participating in these free classes will be asked to sign a waiver. Click here to see and print a copy of the waiver. Instructors will also have them available to sign when you arrive at one of the classes.
