The Lakewood Police Department has issued an alert to the residents of Lakewood about a pattern of stolen vehicles in the city. Since February 16, 2011, eleven vehicles have been stolen that are of similar make and model. Seven are 2006 and older Chrysler Sebring’s and Cirrus’s or Dodge Stratus’s. Four have been Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Caravan, and Chrysler Town & Country vans older than ten years. The vehicles have been stolen in the late evening to early morning, generally on street parking, and not in one particular section of the city. Residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked, parked in a well lighted area, and all valuable objects removed from the car. The Lakewood Police Department is working with other area agencies that are experiencing similar thefts.
Anyone with any information about these thefts is encouraged to contact the Lakewood Police Department at 216-529-6773 or police@lakewoodoh.net.
