Early Childhood Professional Consortium

For the past seventeen years, the Directors of Lakewood Early Care and Education programs have met monthly to discuss the management of high quality Early Childhood programs. They provide a forum to brainstorm new ideas, advocate for children and families, and support each other as professionals.

The Consortium guides the in-service training opportunities offered in Lakewood which are mandated for all Early Care and Education providers. First Aid, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse Prevention, Child Development are all offered at least two times a year. The Early Childhood Professionsl Consortium also sponsors a bi-annual mini-conference to support Step-Up-to-Quality training mandates.
