Join LWL for our 4th Annual Walking Challenge to be held at Lakewood Park, Women’s Pavilion, Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM, May 8th through June 12th.
The first walk Wednesday, May 8th will be 1 mile. Each week we will increase our distance by 1/2 mile to reach our goal of 3 miles. Participants walk at their own pace and can share our walking goals or set their own. WE WALK RAIN OR SHINE! On June 12th you can celebrate at our potluck dinner at the Women’s Pavilion if you attend at least 3 out of 5 sessions.
Our Walking Challenge is a FREE event.

As part of the City’s continued investment in our parks, work will begin later this year to renovate the Madison Skatehouse. The skatehouse has been a focal element of Madison Park since the 1930s but in recent years fallen into disrepair.
Proposed improvements under consideration include enhancements to the overall appearance as well as the bathrooms being rebuilt to be ADA accessible and provide a clean and safe environment for everyone. These changes won’t get underway without your thoughts and concerns being heard.
Please join us on Monday, May, 13th at 7pm at the Madison Library Auditorium. City officials and the project architect will present proposed plans and be available to answer your questions and address your concerns.
