Home Improvement Rebate Program
Mission Statement
The Home Improvement Rebate Program provides rebate assistance to income eligible owner occupants. Qualified applicants may receive rebates up to 50% (maximum $4,000) to offset the cost of qualified exterior improvements. Properties throughout the City may participate as long as the current federal income guidelines are met. Participation is limited to one time per property.
An exterior Building Department inspection is required. Applicants must satisfy all identified code violations before receipt of rebate assistance. Property owners who have submitted receipts for interior repairs must request an interior inspection to be conducted by a Project Specialist. The results of interior inspections are confidential and are not shared with other City Departments.
Due to applicable Historic Preservation Guidelines we are not able to reimburse for the cost of vinyl or aluminum siding, glass block windows, certain types of replacement windows, and new construction.
