H.E.L.P. (Home Enhancement Loan Program)

Mission Statement

Low interest home improvement loans are offered to qualified residents in eligible Northeast Ohio communities including Lakewood (see below) under a new program from Cuyahoga County Treasurer James Rokakis and the Cuyahoga County Commissioners. Program benefits include:

  • Loans at 3% below market rate, 5 year term
  • $200,000 limit per dwelling or $20,000 per unit, whichever is less
  • Available in 26 Cuyahoga County communities
  • No income limit
  • Owner-occupied and investment dwellings
  • No value limit on multifamily dwellings
  • Loans can be used for alteration, repair, maintenance or improvement
  • Can also be used for code violation compliance and property upgrades
  • Your municipality will monitor the improvements
