RTA has proposed changes which include eliminating/cutting service
of the Lakewood Community Circulator #804.
 
WHAT CAN YOU DO?

• Sign the petition asking RTA to reconsider their elimination/service reductions of the Lakewood Community Circulator #804.  Petition forms are available at Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue.
  
  
• Send an e-mail to public-comment@gcrta.org or a letter to RTA marketing & Communications Department, 1240 West Sixth Street, Cleveland, Ohio  44113. Comments must be sent to RTA by August 18, 2008.

PROPOSED RTA CHANGES UPDATE

More than 125 people attended the Community Meeting held at Lakewood City Hall on July 29, 2008 to discuss ways to save the Lakewood Community Circulator.

Over 2,000 people attended the 4 public hearings RTA held the week of August 4, 2008 and 1,000 others sent written comments.

RTA has decided to delay making any final decisions on service cuts and increased fares for a month due to the public outcry regarding the proposed changes.  There is a possibility that they will receive funding from the State of Ohio which would allow them to continue operating without making serious cuts in service. 

If you still haven’t written RTA to tell them how important the Lakewood Community Circulator is to you, please do so.
